1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the services offered by DISTROMASTERS, powered by 1M Music Group, you accept these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our services or access our website.

2. Description of Services

DISTROMASTERS provides specialized digital music distribution services, which include but are not limited to:

  • Digital Distribution: Distribution of music to over 150 digital platforms globally, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and many more.
  • Metadata Management: Optimization and management of track, album, and artist information.
  • Reports and Analytics: Access to detailed statistics on streams, revenues, and audience.
  • Technical Support: Specialized assistance for artists and record labels.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or interrupt any of our services at any time, with prior notice when possible.

3. Intellectual Property and Copyright

The user guarantees that they own all necessary rights over the musical content they distribute through DISTROMASTERS. This includes:

  • Copyright over the musical composition and the sound recording.
  • Artistic name and image rights.
  • Necessary licenses for samples, collaborations, or covers.

DISTROMASTERS is not responsible for copyright infringements committed by the user.

4. Distribution Process

To use our distribution services, the user must:

  • Complete the registration and identity verification process.
  • Provide musical content in specified formats and qualities.
  • Include complete and accurate metadata (title, artist, genre, etc.).
  • Comply with the technical quality and content standards of the platforms.

5. Fees, Royalties, and Payments

DISTROMASTERS distributes your music and manages the collection of revenues under the current fee and royalty structure:

  • Single Plan: The Artist retains 90% of the net income generated by the distribution of their music.
  • PRO and Multi-Artist Plans: The Artist retains 85% of the net income generated by the distribution of their music.
  • YouTube Content ID: This service is included in the distribution plans. Its activation and use are subject to strict compliance with the exclusivity and eligibility terms detailed in DISTROMASTERS Content Policies.

Royalty payments are processed periodically after receipt of funds from the music platforms (typically between 45 and 90 days after the month of consumption) and are subject to:

  • Minimum payment thresholds established in the user's control panel.
  • Retention and deduction of retroactive royalties (clawbacks) or preventative withholdings if streaming platforms (DSPs) initiate investigations for suspected artificial streams, stream manipulation, or intellectual property disputes in the user's catalog.
  • Deductions for processing and bank transfer fees according to the selected payment method.

6. Prohibited Content and Inacceptable Distribution Practices

It is strictly prohibited to distribute content that incurs in any of the following scenarios or practices:

  • Intellectual Property Infringement: Content whose copyright or master recording you do not own, or that includes unauthorized samples, unofficial remixes, mashups, or karaoke tracks that do not belong to you exclusively.
  • 100% AI-Generated Music: Musical recordings and audio produced entirely (100%) by generative AI audio tools (e.g., Suno, Udio, or equivalents) without substantial human contribution, interpretation, or creation.
  • Impersonation: Deceptive use of real artist names in metadata or covers with the intent to confuse the public, or distribution of songs with synthetic voices (cloned by AI) of renowned artists without a written license agreement of which the rights are owned.
  • Incomplete or False Metadata: Omitting or altering the real legal names (first and last names) of the composers, authors, and lyricists of the distributed content.
  • Stream Manipulation (Stream Farming): The purchase or use of automated services (bots, click farms, paid playlists of artificial growth) that inflate plays. These practices result in the immediate removal of the catalog, withholding of the economic balance, and passing on of fines applied by the DSPs to the user's catalog.

7. User Responsibilities

The user agrees to:

  • Keep contact and payment information up to date.
  • Notify immediately of any problem with their distributed content.
  • Comply with all applicable laws in their jurisdiction.
  • Respect the terms and conditions of the destination platforms.

8. Limitation of Liability

DISTROMASTERS will not be responsible for:

  • Decisions of the platforms to reject or remove content.
  • Fluctuations in streaming income.
  • Temporary service interruptions for maintenance.
  • Indirect or consequential losses related to the use of the service.

9. Cancellation, Service Termination, and "No Takedowns" Guarantee

The user may cancel or modify their plan at any time. The termination of the contractual relationship will be governed by the following criteria:

  • Subscription Cancellation ("No Takedowns"): If you cancel or decide not to renew your paid plan (PRO or Multi-Artist), your distributed music will remain online in digital stores and continue to accumulate royalties under the commissions of your plan. However, you will not be able to publish new music, edit metadata, or access the advantages of priority support, WhatsApp support, or custom record label branding until you reactivate an active subscription.
  • Voluntary Removal (Requested Takedown): You may request the voluntary removal of one or all of your releases at any time through our technical support. Requests are sent to the stores within 5 to 10 business days.
  • Removals for Infringement or Forced Closure: The "No Takedowns" guarantee does not apply to content that infringes copyright, violates these policies, uses 100% AI, uses impersonated names or voices, or accumulates artificial plays. In such cases, DISTROMASTERS will remove the music immediately and close the user's account permanently without refund.
