What happens to my music if I cancel my plan or stop paying the annual subscription?

Your music stays in stores forever. At DISTROM we guarantee the permanence of your catalog and apply a strict No Takedowns policy due to inactivity. If you decide to cancel your annual subscription or not renew it, the songs you already uploaded will remain online, accumulating streams and generating royalties in your favor (under the same percentages of your plan). The only restriction of not having an active plan is that you will not be able to upload new music until you reactivate it.

How long does it take for my content to be available?

Your release is usually visible on major stores and streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music within a period of **2 to 5 business days** after being approved by our team.

However, to guarantee that your content has an appropriate pre-save campaign and to enable submissions to editorial playlists (pitching), we advise you to plan and upload your music **at least 14 days in advance**.

Where can my music be heard?

Your music will reach more than 150 global platforms for streaming and digital sales, including:

  • Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, YouTube Music
  • Amazon Music, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook
  • Deezer, Pandora, SoundCloud and many more

Your music will reach a global audience from day one.

Can I get signed to a record label through Distromasters?

Distromasters is an independent music distributor — you distribute, you own 100% of your rights, and you stay independent as long as you want. That said, Distromasters works alongside 1M Music Group, an independent record label. Artists who reach strong streaming numbers may be invited to apply to the 1M Music Group roster for A&R support, marketing, and playlist pitching. This is a fully optional opportunity, never a condition of using Distromasters.

Is it possible to create an account for my label and distribute multiple artists?

Absolutely. DISTROM is designed for record labels to manage multiple artists from a single account. This allows you to distribute the music of all your artists efficiently and centrally, with total control of royalties and reports.

What should I do if I need to reset my password?

If you forgot your password, go to the login page and select "Forgot my password?". Follow the email instructions to reset it.

We recommend activating two-factor authentication (2FA) for greater account security.

Are earnings collected from YouTube and social media?

Yes, completely. At DISTROM we monetize your catalog on **YouTube Content ID, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook**. If any content creator or video on these platforms uses your music, the system will claim the rights and collect royalties automatically in your favor. Best of all, this service is **included in all our plans with a 0% commission**, meaning you keep 100% of your fingerprinting income.

What should I do if I made a mistake when submitting my content?

If you detect an error in your content, contact us immediately through the support form. A member of the team will help you resolve any issues related to your release.

Note: Not all platforms guarantee the acceptance of retroactive changes after publication.

How and when do I receive payments for my royalties?

You receive your earnings directly and transparently. You can request withdrawals via bank transfer directly to your account as soon as you reach the minimum accumulated balance of $100 USD. The entire process is structured to provide you with maximum speed, transparency, and convenience.

How can I access my sales reports and analytics?

After you start generating revenue, you will have access to a comprehensive dashboard with detailed information on streams, downloads, and royalties. You can also export all your reports.

Important: It can take 2 to 3 months before earnings are reflected in your account, as each platform has its own reporting schedule with an average delay of ~2 months from the actual date of stream/purchase.

Can I set up pre-saves and pre-orders for my releases?

Yes. When submitting your content for distribution you can activate pre-saves or pre-orders. To use this feature you must set a release date at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance.

How can I take advantage of Spotify for Artists?

Spotify for Artists is a tool that allows musicians, labels, and distributors to optimize their Spotify experience: audience analytics, profile customization, pitch to editorial playlists, Canvas uploading, and much more.

How to prevent issues with artificial streaming (stream farming)?

It is crucial to be alert to promotional services that promise playlist placements or a specific number of plays in exchange for money. Many of these services use fraudulent methods that can result in:

  • Withholding or loss of royalties
  • Removal of your music from platforms
  • Permanent block of your artist account

Stay informed and always choose organic growth strategies to protect your music and income.

Can I distribute music from other artists under my account?

Yes, if you have the necessary rights. If you are a record label or authorized representative, you can manage the content of multiple artists from your account. It is essential to have the corresponding permissions to avoid copyright issues and guarantee that everyone involved receives their royalties.
